Mary’s Wedding
by Stephen Massicotte
directed by Mark Ulrich
@ The Raven Theater Complex
West Stage in January of 2010
Mary’s Wedding deals with the classic themes of love, war, and loss – all leading up to an impending wedding. Directed by ensemble member Mark Ulrich, the play tells the story of two young lovers in Canada at the start of the country’s involvement in World War I. Within the structure of a dream, and using shifting roles for the two young actors, the play deftly weaves together the reality of the war both for those in it, and those who were left behind.
